What does a prepaid marketplace change about buying merchant leads?

A merchant lead is an inquiry about payment-processing services that your team must pursue, qualify and work toward a merchant account. Buying an inquiry does not mean the merchant has agreed to switch processors or meets your underwriting criteria.

With our marketplace, you fund your wallet and decide what to buy. You can align purchases with rep availability rather than a monthly billing date. A subscription can suit a team that wants a recurring purchasing routine, but compare its selection rights, delivery commitments and cancellation terms before treating that routine as a benefit.

How do wallet funding and monthly billing affect your budget?

Our wallet options are Starter at $250, Growth at $500 and Scale at $1,000. Custom funding starts at $250. These amounts fund purchases; they are not monthly subscription fees. We require no contracts, and you can pause purchasing anytime.

A recurring plan creates a scheduled expense even when your reps have less capacity, unless its terms allow a pause. Check renewal dates, cancellation deadlines and treatment of unused credits. With our prepaid approach, plan funding around the inquiries you intend to work. Pausing purchases should not be confused with a refund of wallet funds.

How should you compare shared, exclusive and aged lead costs?

Our fresh shared leads cost $25 each and go to no more than three buyers. Exclusive leads cost $45 each. Fresh exclusivity does not prohibit later disclosed aged resale. Pricing can vary for high-risk or high-volume leads.

Our aged prices are $6 for 1–30 days, $3 for 31–90 days, $1.50 for 91–180 days and $0.75 for 180+ days, with a 25-lead minimum order. Older inquiries require renewed qualification of the merchant’s current needs, not an assumption of renewed consent.

When comparing a subscription, identify its actual mix. A monthly allocation of older shared inquiries is not equivalent to individually selected fresh exclusive leads.

Where do our campaign inquiries and consent records come from?

We run our own paid Facebook and Google campaigns. Our campaigns display this disclosure:

“By submitting, you agree that MerchantCardLeads and its partner payment-processing providers may contact you by phone, text and email about merchant services, including via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”

New campaign leads carry the captured consent text, timestamp and source page in dashboard, email and webhook delivery. You are responsible for TCPA and DNC rules in your own outreach. Do not assume aged inquiries carry renewed consent or that every historical inquiry carries this same disclosure. Buyer SMS alert opt-in is separate.

How do selection filters change the marketplace-versus-subscription decision?

Use available filters and listing details to narrow purchases around your processing programs. Consider merchant industry, geography, processing-volume range and inquiry age where available. Do not assume every merchant detail will be present or that a listed category establishes processor eligibility.

The marketplace advantage is purchase-level choice: you can adjust your criteria before spending again. For a subscription, ask whether preferences determine the allocation or merely guide it. Also ask what happens when matching inventory is limited. Tight criteria can improve relevance while reducing your available choices, so keep your requirements tied to genuine boarding constraints.

How do independent delivery channels support flexible purchasing?

Our dashboard, email and webhook delivery provide independent channels for accessing new campaign leads and their consent records. Choose the workflow that supports your reps: dashboard review, email handling or webhook-based routing into your sales process.

Delivery method and purchasing model are separate decisions. You do not need a recurring fee simply to organize a repeatable follow-up routine. Before buying, assign an owner for each inquiry and decide how your team will avoid duplicate outreach across channels. When assessing a subscription, examine delivery timing and routing separately from its monthly lead allowance.

What should you compare about returns before committing budget?

Our return window is 72 hours. For aged leads, the eligible return reason is a bad phone number. Review purchases promptly so your team can identify an issue and raise it within that window. A merchant declining your offer is not the same as a bad phone number.

For a subscription, read the return terms alongside billing terms. Check whether an accepted issue results in credit, replacement or another remedy, and whether renewal continues while a request is reviewed. Neither a wallet balance nor a recurring allocation removes the need for prompt quality review.

How can you compare economics without assuming a close rate?

Compare total acquisition expense with your own results: qualified conversations, applications, boarded accounts and retained processing revenue. Include rep time and follow-up costs, not just the invoice for leads.

As a hypothetical purchasing example, ten shared leads at our standard $25 price cost $250. Five exclusive leads at $45 cost $225. Those baskets differ in quantity and buyer competition; neither establishes a likely sales outcome.

For a subscription, divide its fee by the inquiries your team can actually use, then evaluate downstream results. A larger allowance has little practical value if inquiries sit untouched or fall outside your processing programs.

How should you start, and when might a subscription fit better?

Start by choosing a wallet amount, setting your buying criteria and assigning follow-up ownership. Confirm your delivery workflow, then purchase a manageable batch. Review contact quality and sales progress before adding more. During holidays, staffing gaps or a full pipeline, you can pause purchases without a contract.

A subscription may fit a team with steady capacity if its allocation, selection rights and recurring cost suit that team. Our marketplace fits buyers who want to change volume or lead mix between purchases. For help planning your purchase, contact our founder, Chad Buchanan, at (248) 686-6955.

    Where these leads come from

Our owned merchant-services sites and campaigns attract business owners searching for processing quotes, savings reviews and provider comparisons. New campaign inquiries are inbound and include partner-contact consent. Historical aged leads retain their original source and consent evidence; they are not new inquiries.

What should you know before contacting a merchant?

Our campaigns capture merchant inquiries with a disclosure naming MerchantCardLeads and partner payment-processing providers. New campaign leads include the captured consent text, timestamp and source page in your dashboard, email and webhook delivery. You are responsible for following TCPA and DNC rules in your own outreach.

By submitting, you agree that MerchantCardLeads and its partner payment-processing providers may contact you by phone, text and email about merchant services, including via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Buyer SMS alerts use a separate opt-in: “I agree to receive automated lead-alert text messages from MerchantCardLeads at this number. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”

    No contracts. Pause anytime.

Real-time return requests: within 72 hours. Approved returns become wallet credits; “already has a processor” is not a valid return reason. Aged returns: bad phone only.

What else do payments reps ask?

Do I need to fund my wallet every month?

No. Our wallet is prepaid, not a monthly subscription. You choose when to fund it and when to purchase leads.

Does pausing purchases stop work on leads I already bought?

No. Pausing controls new spending. You can continue working prior purchases while following the outreach rules that apply to your team.

Should a small payments team choose the lowest-priced lead type?

Not automatically. Aged leads have lower purchase prices but require more requalification. Match your purchase to available rep time and your processing programs.

Can a recurring subscription still offer useful buying control?

Yes. Some providers offer selection or pause options. Compare the actual terms rather than assuming every subscription is rigid or every monthly allocation is useful.
