A high-risk merchant lead is a prospecting opportunity, not an underwriting decision. Your first task is to understand what the merchant sells, how customers pay and when the merchant delivers the product or service. Those distinctions matter more than a broad industry label.
We help you build outreach around these categories, while you assess each merchant against your acquiring relationships. CBD products, adult content, credit repair services and future-delivery travel can raise different acceptance concerns. Qualify the actual business model before investing time in a proposal, equipment recommendation or application package.
Our paid Facebook and Google campaigns display a consent disclosure naming MerchantCardLeads and partner payment-processing providers:
“By submitting, you agree that MerchantCardLeads and its partner payment-processing providers may contact you by phone, text and email about merchant services, including via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
New campaign leads carry the captured consent text, timestamp and source page in our dashboard, email and webhook delivery. You are responsible for TCPA and DNC rules in your own outreach. Do not treat an aged purchase as renewed consent or assume every historical lead carries the current campaign disclosure. Your opt-in to buyer SMS alerts is separate from merchant consent.
Our shared leads cost $25 and are shared with up to three buyers. They suit representatives who can promptly assess the vertical and explain a relevant processing approach. Exclusive leads cost $45 and offer fresh exclusivity; that does not prohibit later disclosed aged resale. Pricing can vary for high-risk or high-volume leads.
Our aged pricing is $6 for 1–30 days, $3 for 31–90 days, $1.50 for 91–180 days and $0.75 for 180+ days. The aged minimum order is 25 leads. For older opportunities, establish whether the merchant still needs processing and whether its products, ownership or dispute history have changed.
Start with verticals your processor relationships currently consider. Then prioritize processing volume, average ticket, sales geography, recurring billing and fulfillment timing as buying criteria and discovery questions. Confirm your selection before purchase rather than assuming every merchant detail accompanies every lead.
A lower-volume CBD seller may require a different review from a high-volume subscription business. Travel deposits can create exposure long before departure, while nutraceutical subscriptions can create disputes around repeat charges. Keep your prospecting queue narrow enough that you can ask informed questions and identify a plausible processing route without suggesting acceptance is assured.
Use your processor’s requirements to build a vertical-specific checklist. Ask about ownership documents, processing statements, business banking, product descriptions, fulfillment practices and customer-facing refund terms. Request sensitive application material through an appropriate secure process, not casual prospecting messages.
For CBD, discuss product composition, relevant licenses and certificates of analysis where required. For nutraceuticals, review product claims and subscription terms. Adult businesses may face age-verification and content-control requirements. Credit repair warrants close attention to service agreements and billing practices. Travel merchants should explain supplier relationships and delivery dates; continuity merchants should explain enrollment, cancellation and rebilling.
Present a rolling reserve as a possible underwriting condition, not a standard term you can promise or waive. Explain that a processor may hold part of settlement proceeds for a defined period, with terms determined through review. Ask how restricted cash would affect inventory, fulfillment and refunds.
For chargebacks, discuss recent counts, ratios, reasons and trends alongside refunds and processing volume. Thresholds and monitoring rules depend on the applicable network and processor program; do not quote one universal limit. Your discovery should identify recurring causes such as unclear billing descriptors, delayed delivery or difficult cancellation rather than merely collecting a headline ratio.
Our dashboard, email and webhook delivery give you separate routes for receiving new campaign leads. Use the dashboard for review, email for representative visibility and webhooks to route opportunities into your sales workflow. You do not need to make one route your only operational dependency.
For high-risk prospects, assign ownership by vertical expertise rather than sending every opportunity into the same queue. Keep the captured consent context attached to new campaign leads when routing them. Separate initial outreach from application collection so representatives can assess processor appetite before requesting extensive merchant documentation.
Our return window is 72 hours. Review purchases promptly so you can identify qualifying issues within that period. For aged leads, the eligible return reason is a bad phone number. Processor rejection, an unacceptable reserve requirement or a merchant’s decision not to proceed is not an aged return reason.
Separate lead review from underwriting review. A reachable merchant can still fall outside your processor’s appetite, have excessive disputes or lack required documents. Plan your purchasing around that distinction: you are buying prospecting opportunities, while your qualification work determines whether an application is worth pursuing.
Choose a manageable group of verticals, confirm processor appetite and assign a representative who understands their underwriting concerns. Our Starter pack is $250, Growth is $500 and Scale is $1,000; custom packs start at $250. We have no contracts, and you can pause anytime.
Match your purchasing pace to your team’s ability to conduct discovery and follow up on documents. Track qualified conversations, application readiness and reasons opportunities stall without equating a submitted application with a boarded account. For help arranging your purchase, contact our founder, Chad Buchanan, at (248) 686-6955.
When a merchant says, “We have already been declined,” ask what reason was given and whether the business model or documentation has changed. A prior decline is useful context, not proof that another processor will accept the account.
If the objection is, “We cannot afford a reserve,” discuss cash-flow constraints before pursuing an application. If the merchant wants a guaranteed placement, explain that underwriting controls the decision. For subscription businesses worried about disputes, focus on billing clarity, cancellation access and fulfillment evidence. Your strongest pitch is a clear review process and relevant payments expertise—not a promise to bypass risk controls.
HighRiskMerchantProcessors.com is part of our owned network, attracting merchants seeking high-risk processing. New campaign inquiries are inbound and include partner-contact consent. Historical aged leads retain their original source and consent evidence; they are not new inquiries.

No. Our leads give you prospecting opportunities. You must check the merchant’s products, locations and operating model against your processor’s current restrictions before pursuing an application.
Ask about booking dates, departure dates, refund obligations, supplier payments and exposure if trips are canceled. You should establish the gap between payment and delivery before discussing settlement expectations.
Review how customers agree to recurring charges, when trial offers become paid subscriptions and how cancellation works. Ask whether dispute reasons point to billing confusion, product dissatisfaction or fulfillment delays.
Yes. You should reassess current processing needs, products, volume, chargebacks and ownership. Our aged lead purchase does not establish current underwriting eligibility or renew outreach consent.
